AIDIMME is the Technology Institute on Metal-Processing, Wood, Furniture, Packaging and related industries being a non-for-profit association with national (Spain) and international scope that was founded in 1984. AIDIMME has more than 30 years of expertise in fields like product development; automation; surface treatments and coatings; “greening” of products and processes; wastewater and waste treatment; as well as mechanical testing; material characterization; transport, product, climatic, physical, and chemical analysis laboratories and ICT developments. AIDIMME’s labs are accredited by ENAC (Spanish Certification Agency) and by others such as ISTA (International Safe Transit Association). AIDIMME has a solid base of knowledge, information and technology transfer skills provided by our long experience working, doing developments and researching on and for the wood, furniture and packaging industries. AIDIMME performs outstanding and high level research, technological development and innovation work coordinating and participating in national and European projects. AIDIMME is the scientific and technical umbrella organization for around 800 associated companies throughout Spain. Its different technical areas are R&D departments that provide technical actions (projects, technical assistance and training) tailored to the SMEs needs. Key AIDIMME personnel have been active in multiple EU projects, including as coordinator but the main role in last years has been to lead Furniture Trials to test/demonstrate/validate the project solutions.
